Edoardo Liberati aims high in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season opener
Edoardo Liberati heads back out on track this coming weekend to Laguna Seca in Monterey (Calif.) for the first round of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. The 29-year-old from Rome will race for team Dream Racing Motorsport as solo entry targeting glory.
Laguna Seca is a track Edoardo has only visited once before in 2019, claiming the ninth position in the Intercontinental GT Challenge 8-hour race. Nevertheless, the former Asian GT champion will work very hard to start the year off well.
Having experience in the Super Trofeo in Europe and Asia, Liberati is set to face a new challenge in the Usa. With a grid record of 39 cars the North American series promises to be very competitive.
"I will give it all I have this year", Liberati said. "I am looking forward to the exciting challenge that awaits me. I'm very confident we have the package to be successful this season."
Liberati will drive a new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 in the spectacular BitBull livery, taking part in all six events including the World Finals at the Portimão circuit next November.
Practice one and two will kick-off the weekend's action on Friday. The two qualifying sessions, each of 15 minutes, will start on Saturday at 8.00am local time ahead of the first of two 50-minute races at 1.50pm. Race two will commence on Sunday at 9.40am.
