
Edoardo Liberati delivers maiden Italian GT Endurance pole position
Edoardo Liberati and his team mates Michele Beretta and Yuki Nemoto will start on pole position for tomorrow's 2-hour Italian GT Endurance race at Enna/Pergusa, after beating the rest of the grid with a stunning combined time of 4:46.200s.
The VSR trio edged out the other Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo car of Karol Basz, Benjamin Hites and Mattia Michelotto by 0.958s to take the pole position for the opener round of the Championship. Nemoto was the first man to set a representative lap time. The Japanese topped the first session with the new tires as Beretta finished second in the second session.
Liberati ended third after double red-flagged last stint. The Roman racing driver made his return to the Italian GT after many years of absence. It was is first time on the 3.075-mile track in Sicily.
