Edoardo Liberati secures top-5 result at the NLS opener
After the first race scheduled late this March has been cancelled, Edoardo Liberati entered last weekend the opening round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie NLS at the Nordschleife circuit.
The Italian made his comeback to the KCMG Porsche 911 GT3 R car, pairing with German driver Marco Holzer. The Hong Kong's outfit duo showed well, setting the sixth quickest time over 145 cars in the qualifying session.
In the 4-hour race Liberati and Holzer had the right pace, moving up to fifth and taking a top-5 result, that is also the best result for Liberati at the famous Eifel's track.
"I had a great feeling with Marco. Together we made a perfect job", said Liberati. "In the first part of the race we lost some time for the strategy. However we were constantly in contention for the top positions. Eventually we finished fifth, that is a great result looking forward our main goal, the 24 Ore del Nürburgring, early next June".
The next race for Liberati will be at the Qualifying Race on the 6th of May.
