Liberati makes track return at Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie driving a KCMG Porsche
The 2020 season resumes this coming weekend for Edoardo Liberati, who makes his track return in second and third round of Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie - ex VLN - driving one of the KCMG-run new Porsche 911 GT3 R cars.
27-year-old Rome-based racer continues his effort with the Hong Kong’s squad for a second year, after having raced in 2020 the 12 Hours of Bathurst, first of the Intercontinental GT Challenge rounds, fighting for a podium finish before a brake issue slowed his Nissan and relegated on 12th place his team-mate Alexandre Imperatori.
The Swiss is one of the two drivers with whom Liberati will share the duties on next weekend at the over 23 kms of the famous Nordschleife circuit, alongside also the Australian Josh Burdon.
“This is the first time KCMG will race a Porsche car. We’ll try to work hard, continuing our preparation for the main event at 24 Hours of Nürburgring”, Liberati commented. “I want once more to thank my team and Porsche for giving me the opportunity to enter such a high level program.”
The first out of 4-hour races kicks off on Saturday at 12 following the qualifying. Same schedule time for Sunday, with live streaming coverage at www.nuerburgring-langstrecken-serie.de.
